New Hybrid for 2013 Honda Accord

All new Accord
The Honda Accord has always been one of the big names in the world of affordable family sedans. The Accord is revered throughout the world as one of the most reliable and best selling vehicles ever made, even though many of its competitors have closed the gap in recent years. The
2013 Honda Accord is not the no brainer choice it once was for car buyers.
As far as
new car deals go, the Accord has always delivered a lot of quality for less money. The 2013 Honda Accord looks to climb higher in this ever growing competitive market by reviving its hybrid sedan model. Dumped back in 2007 due to poor sales, the new hybrid for the 2013 Honda Accord has advanced leaps and bounds from what it was just five short years ago.
New technology
Hybrid technology has developed very quickly, due in large part to the constantly rising demand for affordable and fuel efficient cars. The new 2013 hybrids model for the Accord will be a plug in, with three different drive modes. There will be a full electric mode, gas/electric mode, and full gas mode.
The new hybrid sedan will have electric continuously variable transmission, and will switch between its gas/electric and gas motor at the most opportune times to save on gas. The full electric mode can be manually engaged at any time. This is similar to some other 2012 and
2013 hybrids on the market.
The 120 kW motor coupled with the 4-cylinder and 6 kW/hour lithium ion battery will allow the Accord to drive on full electricity alone for up to about 15 miles, and at speeds of about 62 mph. Honda says to fully recharge the battery on 110 volts would take less than four hours, and on the 240 volt charger would take about 90 minutes.
