New Nissan in town
The Altima has been the strongest flagship vehicle of car maker Nissan, so there is a lot of excitement and buzz over the debut of the redesigned
2013 Nissan Altima. Set to finally be revealed very soon at the
2012 NY Auto Show
, the 2013 Nissan Altima has been teased in several different trailers for months now.
Recently, the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission approved the use of the new Nissan Altima and other Nissan vehicles, notably the NV200, in their taxi cab fleets. The New York Auto Show will apparently just be an introduction before a long relationship for the new Altima and the city of New York, since it is being hailed as the Taxi of Tomorrow for the Big Apple.
Building momentum
The outgoing
2012 Nissan Altima was one of the most successful models and best car deals that Nissan has ever had, and it even outsold its close competitor, the Honda Accord, in this incredibly competitive car segment. Mid size sedans from many of the major car manufacturers are getting redesigns for 2013. It is no surprise these kinds of cars are getting so much attention, they provide the perfect balance of affordability, gas mileage, comfort, performance and technology.
Set to be ready for the market in fall of 2012, the 2013 Altima is sure to be one of the leading and
best car deals Nissan will have. The Altima broke the mold for family sedans with its redesign back in 2002, and it looks to try and distinguish itself again from the pack. From the teased pictures and videos, it is clear that the redesign will give the new Altima a curvier, bolder and more stylish look.
The Altima will retain its v6 option, which many car makers are opting to take off of their mid size family sedans. The new Altima along with the new Honda Accord are two notable vehicles that are keeping their v6 engines. Gas mileage is always a huge issue for car buyers, so the new redesign will most certainly try to squeeze more mpg out of both the 4-cylinder and v6 engines the Altima will offer. There will also be a 6 speed manual transmission coming standard with both engines.
Try using the
Nissan dealership locator to find the right Nissan dealer in your local area. The Altima is sure to lead the way for Nissan again in the future, but there are many other great options that Nissan can offer car buyers as well.
