9 Passenger Vehicles

Seating for nine passengers

Unless you want to drive a school bus, the 9 passenger vehicles are your best bet for hauling around the most people possible. If you need to drive this many people around, you have several options open to you if you want a new car deal and even more if you are willing to find used vehicles.

These full size vans and large SUVs are the best option for more than 8 passenger vehicles around. They are the only type of vehicles with enough interior space and rows of seats to accommodate this many people. They also have the option to remove the seats and use more of the cabin for cargo space, which gives them even more versatility and value.

Here are the new nine passenger cars for sale in 2012:

Which vehicle works for you?

You can't pick a crossover SUV or a minivan if you need to fit nine people in. You have to super size your vehicle to the large SUVs or the full size vans. The SUVs are certainly more stylish, refined and powerful than the vans, but they are also more expensive. You'll need to find SUVs with third row seating to fit this many people.

The Chevy Suburban is the largest of all the big SUVs, and has more interior room than the rest of the competition. It is also the most powerful option for vehicles that seat nine, and you will be able to pull or tow more with this vehicle than any other. The extra power comes at a cost however; these SUVs don't get nearly as much mpg as the 4 cylinder SUVs.

The GM twin vehicles, the Chevy Tahoe and the GMC Yukon, are almost mechanically identical, but they each have unique styling and optional packages. Your choice between the two is really just opinionated.

If you need to fit nine people into your ride, you actually do have a decent selection of vehicles to choose from. Whether it's a large SUV or a full size van, we can help you find it here.
