Here are the top five search terms and that we have been tracking that have generated the most traffic and interest:

  1. Cars under 10000
  2. Cheap cars
  3. Used cars under 3000
  4. Least expensive new car
  5. Car search engines

Looking deeper

One look at the top five search terms reveals an expected trend; people all over the country are searching for affordable vehicles. Cars under 10000 takes the top spot, and tells us a few things. This is the lowest price range for new cars, and is one of the most popular for used cars as well. It is a very common spending limit for car buyers.

Second is cheap cars, which doesn't necessarily indicate between new and used, but it does show the same car buying mentality of shopping for your budget first and foremost. Used cars under 3000 comes in at number three, and shows us that many people looking for local used cars commonly want to spend about $3000.

Least expensive new car is number four, and what people are probably looking for is the 2012 Nissan Versa. It is also commonly found with the cars under 10000 search term, and only reinforces the notion of budget minded car buying.

Last but not least is car search engines at number five. These tools are some of the most useful resources you could hope for from the internet. What this shows us is that visitors want to be presented with all the information about their potential cars before making a decision.

So what can we take from all this? People want to be able to easily find affordable vehicle options in their area and be presented with all the information before making a decision.
