Nissan Armada The Armada is thirsty at 12 MPG city and 19 Highway, big and comfortable. Passengers will enjoy the optional heated seats, upgraded stereo system and DVD entertainment system with its 9.3 GB music hard drive.
Toyota Sequoia or Land Cruiser Choose the Land Cruiser if you do much off-road driving. It uses full-time four-wheel drive and "crawl control", a system that regulates speed when you go up or down steep hills. The Sequoia has fewer features but costs $39,580 against the Land Cruiser's $67,370 and has more room inside.
Chevrolet Tahoe or GMC Yukon Both General Motors vehicles will carry eight or nine people, share the same general price range, from $37,000 to $53,000 and dimensions. Both have the same V8 engine and the same warranty. Make your pick based on which is better looking to you.
Chevrolet Suburban or Cadillac Escalade EXT The Suburban is the Chevy three-quarter ton pickup truck with a station-wagon body. It's the oldest SUV model, first produced in 1934 as a vehicle for the National Guard. Sales are down in some models of the Suburban because of its gas mileage rating of ten city and 15 highway MPG. The Escalade is the up-market version of the Suburban and comes with extra amenities such as AC with three zone climate control.
