High end cars with high gas mileage
Luxury cars represent the best of the best that the auto industry has to offer. Although these kinds of vehicles are very well known for possessing the most precise driving dynamics, the latest and greatest technology, well refined designs and striking styling, they are not really known for their gas mileage.
The
hybrid luxury cars for sale, however, bridge the gap between the premium luxury cars on the market and the high rising fuel efficient
list of new hybrid cars and offer you the best of both worlds.

The standouts
When you take a look at some of the
best gas mileage cars on this list, the 2012 Lexus CT 200h appears to be the runaway winner. With 43 city / 40 hwy mpg, it does have very impressive fuel economy, and it only starts at $29,120. The drawbacks are that it is not as luxurious as other competitors, and even though it is a very sporty handling car, it has even worse acceleration than its mechanical cousin, the
Toyota Prius.
The 2012 Lincoln MKZ has a great balance of high fuel economy, spacious interior, plenty of technological features, and great driving dynamics. With 41 city / 36 hwy mpg and starting at $34,755, the MKZ is definitely a luxury hybrid car to check out. If luxury isn't as important to you, however, you should check out the hybrid trim of the
2012 Ford Fusion instead. It's almost mechanically identical and more affordable.
As if combining hybrids and luxury vehicles wasn't impressive enough, Lexus also managed to add crossover SUV to the mix as well. The 2012 Lexus RX 450h is a hybrid luxury crossover SUV that sports great gas mileage with 32 city / 28 hwy mpg, and it starts at $45,235. It is very capable for a hybrid vehicle as well. Its 3.5L v6 hybrid engine turns out 295 horsepower and when properly equipped it can tow up to 3,500 lbs.
