The Next Best Thing to New Cars Under $10000
Harry Lloyd
Getting the cheapest option
Many people try to find
cars under 10000 dollars. It's a very popular price range, but unfortunately as time goes on, things get more expensive, and there are no longer any new cars that are priced in this range.
However, there are some
new car deals that come very close to being under ten grand. You don't have a whole lot of options, but at this unbeatable price range, it's hard to complain.
It would be more accurate to call these
new cars under $12000 instead, since with offered sales, rebates and incentives it is much more realistic to get these cars for $12k or less.
Although the MSRP may be higher than $12,000, it's important to note that the MSRP is not the price you will actually pay, it is merely the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price.
2012 Cars Under 12000
The
2012 Nissan Versa is the cheapest car on the market. With a starting MSRP of $10,990 for the sedan S trim, it is very realistic to get a Versa on the road in this price range.
You can also check out the
2012 Hyundai Accent. With a 10 year / 100,000 mile warranty and 30 city / 40 hwy mpg, it's tough to overlook it. The Accent starts at $12,545 for the sedan GLS trim.
Ford also has a runner in this race with the
2012 Ford Fiesta. The Fiesta proves that just because you buy a car on a budget doesn't mean it shouldn't be fun to drive. This sporty driving subcompact starts at $13,200 for its sedan S trim.
The
2012 Kia Rio is a newcomer to the market, but as the mechanical cousin of the Hyundai Accent, the Rio is another high quality cheap new car. The Kia Rio's sedan LX trim starts at $13,400, and it also has the most affordable hatchback trim, with its LX starting at just $13,600.
Last but not least, we will highlight the
2012 Chevy Sonic. Perhaps the most well rounded and highest priced vehicle of this lineup, the Sonic delivers on all the aspects that are important to drivers in this segment. The Sonic's sedan LS trim starts at $13,865.
