Hyundai Sports Cars

Sports cars from Hyundai
Hyundai is a car manufacturer that has always been well known for making realistic, affordable and fuel efficient vehicles.
They are not typically regarded as a performance oriented car maker, but there are a few
Hyundai sports cars on the market today.
Sports cars are typically light weight, are fine tuned for the best performance and handling, and also have a distinct sporty style. Not every sports car has to be a race car, and Hyundai has several cars that fit this bill.
Hyundai Genesis Coupe
The
Hyundai Genesis Coupe is one of the best values for a new sports coupe. It combines a low starting price, solid sports car mpg, Hyundai's stellar warranty and very fun driving dynamics. It starts at just $22,250, and its base engine gets 21 city / 30 hwy mpg, 210 horsepower and 223 lbs-ft of torque.
It's a bit unnatural to associate Hyundai with performance sports cars. However the Genesis Coupe is definitely one of the best options for affordable and realistic for
new car deals on sporty coupes.
Hyundai Veloster
The
Hyundai Veloster may not have the kind of performance numbers you would write home about, but it is certainly one of the most fuel efficient, stylish and affordable options for sporty hatchbacks. It is also one of the lightest
small sports cars for sale.
The 2012 model gets 29 city / 40 hwy mpg, and its 1.6L 4 cylinder engine gives it 138 horsepower and 123 lbs-ft of torque. The 2013 model will come with a new Turbo model that will give it a much more powerful turbo charged 4 cylinder engine.
The shark
If you want a more
affordable sports car, you could check out used models of the Hyundai Tiburon. The Tiburon, which is the Spanish word for shark, is a model that Hyundai pulled the plug on in 2008.
They have a unique styling and were some exceptionally sporty hatchbacks, but even their V6 engines were outclassed by competitors' 4 cylinder engines. It is definitely the least expensive option for a
sports car from Hyundai, but if you want the most performance you'd best look at one of the newer models.
Even though they do have a reputation for being a very practical car company, they have been known to venture out and make some interesting vehicles, like their
Hyundai zombie car made from an Elantra. They may not be the best or most successful at producing sports cars, but Hyundai vehicles are always worth a look.
