The good gets better
The Ford F-150 has been the nation's best selling vehicle for nearly 30 years, which makes it pretty easy to say that it is by no coincidence. This Monday Ford celebrated the 65th anniversary of the F-Series by unveiling its updated
2013 Ford F-150.
Ford managed to improve on the interior and technology features and also gave the exterior an updated look. The F-150 is not only the best selling vehicle in America, but it is also a class leader in many regards and always remains competitive in a very big market.
The extensive trim and options available combined with competitive pricing makes it one of the
best deals on new cars around. Over the past year, the F-150 has sold more v6 engines, thanks to the EcoBoost option, than they did v8 engines. New trucks have becoming more fuel efficient and more attractive to everyday drivers.
What's new
- Changes for 2013 F-150
- New premium luxury Limited trim
- Slight exterior redesign
- More standard technology on higher trims
- Improved headlight designs
- Adjustable rear view mirrors from Super Duty models
Ford announced they will be unveiling a new luxury trim to add to the F-150's ranks soon, the Limited trim. It will find its niche alongside the Lariat, Platinum and King Ranch as the premium Ford trucks.
Ford has gravitated towards making boxier, stronger looking trucks in recent times, and the new truck for 2013 has a new grille that continues the trend. They also have new 18 or 20 inch wheels.
There are three new exterior colors being offered as well; Ruby Red Clearcoat Metallic, Kodiak Brown Metallic, and Blue Jeans Metallic. The amount of options available makes it easy for anyone to find a personalized and affordable
F-150 to finance.
Ford is offering its Sync infotainment and navigation system on all trims from XLT and up. An 8 inch LCD color touch screen and media hub along with the MyFord Touch voice controls are also standard equipment for the high end trims.
They also are offering the telescoping and power-folding mirrors from the Super Duty series that provide much more flexibility and visibility. There are also new high intensity discharge headlights behind newly designed covers.
